NCC HEREFORD CUSTOM & CLASSIC BIKE SHOW - A BRIEF HISTORY
Near
the end of 1993 we met with some local bikers and discussed the possibility
of organising a chopper show to raise funds for Hodgkinson's Disease Research
as one of their number had recently been diagnosed with the illness.
Discussions with the owners of a shopping precinct set the venue for the
First NCC Hereford Custom & Classic Bike Show in April 1994.
After the third show, demand forced us to move the show venue into Hereford
Cattle Market with the evening entertainment being in Marden (a village nearby),
thanks to a courteous landlord with a lot of land!
Last year the show was forced to move again! Due to foot & mouth restrictions
the Cattle Market was unavailable, and a new venue was found for the entire
weekend - showground and camping - in the village of Madley, just a few miles
West of Hereford City. Now in its 15th year and including a hot rod show,
this show will be bigger and better than ever.
